Sourcing Specialist
Description

We are seeking a Sourcing Specialist to coordinate vendor and subcontractor activity, support project execution, and keep sourcing decisions moving with speed and accountability. This role is well suited for someone who takes initiative, communicates directly with internal and external partners, and manages multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, subcontractors, and vendors to support project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Qualify new job requests by gathering site details, budgets, deadlines, contacts, and supporting documentation needed to move work forward.
  • Coordinate pricing, schedules, compliance documents, purchase orders, and project timelines with subcontractors, site contacts, and internal teams.
  • Negotiate subcontractor terms, pricing, and scope to support project success and favorable business outcomes.
  • Partner with subcontractors to develop competitive bids, clarify project scope, and evaluate proposals to identify the best fit for each project.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard subcontractors within assigned territories based on capability, responsiveness, and project fit.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, quality, and compliance against project requirements, addressing issues quickly when they arise.
  • Maintain accurate records in client portals and internal systems, including contracts, invoices, completion documentation, and performance data.
  • Partner with Sourcing and Project Management to resolve issues, align resources, and keep projects on track.

  • Strong decision-making and ownership in coordinating vendors, subcontractors, and project-related activity.
  • Clear, direct communication with clients, subcontractors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities, timelines, and requests in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Sound judgment in negotiating terms, evaluating tradeoffs, and weighing business impact.
  • Comfort working across systems, documentation, and compliance requirements without losing momentum.
Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a support, purchasing, sourcing, construction, or project coordination role.
  • Basic knowledge of construction or project management practices.
  • Commercial roofing experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; NetSuite experience is a plus.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday serving as primary work week. As required to support the needs of the business additional hours may be required. Employee may be eligible to participate in a hybrid work environment with proven track record. This role requires up to 30% travel.

Expected Salary Range

The expected salary range offered for this position is $62,900-$91,330 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on various factors including but not limited to, experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary bonus or commissions.
