Oxley Enterprises, Inc.’s (Oxley) intern program is designed to provide college students the opportunity to learn about Oxley and gain meaningful, hands-on work experience in a professional environment. Oxley’s internship program places an emphasis on developing the next generation's workforce. Our internship program provides the opportunity for each intern to interact with various areas of the company. Our goal is to build a roadmap that leads you to a long, rewarding and challenging career with Oxley. We work with you to determine your desired career path, and the correct steps to get you to your goals. At the end of the program, each intern will give a brief presentation to our executive team summarizing their accomplishments and key takeaways achieved while working for us. Interns typically represent college students trying to gain related work experience while pursuing an undergraduate degree. Under direct supervision, performs various hands-on tasks and assignments for the organization's professional staff in such disciplines as Business, Finance, Human Resources, and Technology.

Tasks/activities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Update website and marketing materials
  • Create/improve social media presence
  • Update/track business, marketing, and/or strategic plans
  • Perform Agency/opportunity research
  • Manage/update Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Manage/update business development / opportunity pipeline
  • Perform technical writing
  • Develop/update templates and/or processes
  • Support ISO 9000 and/or CMMI certification efforts
  • Support/manage Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable
  • Support/manage timesheets and payroll
  • Support/complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations and reporting
  • Support/complete contract cost management reporting
  • Support/conduct recruiting
  • Support/conduct human resources initiatives

Please note that in order for a semester to be submitted for course credit, the request to Oxley Enterprises, Inc. must be made at least 30 days prior to the start of the semester for consideration.


Requirements
  • Be a resident in a qualified HUBZone (If you do NOT Qualify, do not apply for this position)
  • In order to qualify, you need to reside within a Qualified HUBZone on the HUBZone map (expiring HUBZones may qualify if they are scheduled as a HUBZone during the period of the internship) (https://maps.certify.sba.gov/hubzone/map)
  • Your HUBZone status is based off of your home address, please follow the above link to check your address
  • Provide two (2) forms of identification verifying that you live within a HUBZone
  • Meet reporting requirements for students living on a campus that resides in a HUBZone that do not have two (2) forms of identification with a HUBZone address
  • Be a US citizen or a permanent resident
  • Must be pursuing a degree in engineering, mathematics, business, information technology, computer science, or related fields.
  • Be available to work for a minimum of 12 weeks and commit to working a minimum of 10 hours per week
  • May be required to obtain a government security clearance
