Plastic Surgery Clinical Assistant – Reflections

Description:

Reflections is seeking a polished, compassionate, and capable Plastic Surgery Clinical Assistant to partner directly with our board-certified plastic surgeon in delivering an exceptional patient experience. Whether you're early in your clinical career or bring years of aesthetic experience, we're looking for the right personality fit — clinical training is provided.

Patient and Clinical Care:

• Obtaining vital signs, patient health history, and accurate documentation of patient visits
• Assisting the physician during examinations, consults, and procedures
• Reviewing patient treatment plans, medications, and physician instructions with patients
• Comforting patients by anticipating their anxieties and answering questions
• Sending prescriptions to pharmacies electronically, by fax, or in writing at the direction of the ordering physician
• Coordinating referrals for patients to specialists
• Calling patients to relay advice and instructions from the surgeon
• Protecting patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information
• Maintaining inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needed supplies, placing orders, and verifying receipt of supplies

Clinic Procedures:

• Preparing exam and procedure rooms between patients
• Monitoring and restocking clinical supplies
• Assisting with routine in-office procedures as directed by the physician

Operational Excellence:

• Maintaining accurate documentation and clinical correspondence
• Assisting with administrative tasks related to patient care
• Monitoring supply levels and proactively managing inventory
• Contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team environment
• Upholding Reflections' standard of professionalism and patient experience

  Requirements:

• Working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
• Empathetic communicator who builds trust quickly
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail

• Service-driven with a commitment to excellence
• Professional in appearance and demeanor

Preferred:

• 1–2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting; plastic surgery, cosmetic, or medical aesthetics experience a plus
• Experience with clinic procedures (vitals, injections, wound care, and assisting with in-office procedures)
• Familiarity with ICD and CPT coding
• Experience with EMR systems
