About the Role:

As a Front End Engineer, you will embrace solving complex technical problems and implementing creative solutions that are eye-catching and functional. You’ll have the opportunity to program in Angular and Sass to solve complex and challenging projects within an agile software development environment. Your team will be comprised of full stack engineers, UX engineers, project managers, business analysts, quality assurance analysts, and client stakeholders. You’ll collaborate with your teammates to create applications with exceptional user experience and can be relied upon to complete complex, frontend tickets. You’ll take initiative to learn additional backend technologies to lend a hand to your hard-working colleagues. 

  • At least 3 years of experience building web applications or server-based applications
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without current or future need for a visa sponsorship
  • Experience in Angular or similar modern Javascript / Typescript framework (Ex. React, Vue) to improve front end functionality
  • Expert  in using HTML / CSS / JavaScript to implement a consistent design
  • Comfortable consuming  RESTful Web Services in a web front end 
  • Must have a working knowledge of source control (Git, SVN, TFS, etc.)
  • Must have a solid understanding of software engineering principles and Agile software development methodologies
  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently and collaborate with a team with a diverse set of people
  • Must have a desire and drive to learn new technologies and embrace the concepts of continuous improvement
  • Must have a passion for creating and delivering software that is both high quality and highly innovative
  • Must have excellent programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)

Bonus Skills & Experience

  • Expertise in Angular development
  • Experience with front end unit testing and/or end-to-end testing
  • Experience debugging and improving rendering performance in single page applications

Work Environment

Since the COVID-19 pandemic forced most of us to work remotely, KL&A has embraced the new flexible scheduling that was one of the microscopic lights at the end of the isolated tunnel. As a result, we are conducting all interviews virtually (get your Zoom background ready.)
