Classroom Aide – Early Head Start
Help little ones take their very first steps toward a bright future. We invest in you while working together to strengthen our community.
Do you love working with babies and toddlers? Are you patient, nurturing and excited by those everyday little milestones?
As an Early Head Start Classroom Aide, you'll help create a warm, safe and engaging environment for children 6 weeks to 3 years old. You'll be part of their earliest learning experiences—helping them feel secure, explore their world, develop new skills and build relationships.
You don't need a degree to make a big difference in a young child's life. You just need a caring heart, a willingness to learn and a commitment to helping children thrive.
What You'll Do
- Build warm, responsive relationships with infants, toddlers and their families.
- Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning activities and everyday experiences.
- Help children develop social, emotional, physical and early learning skills.
- Support children's individual needs, interests and developmental milestones.
- Create a safe, nurturing classroom where children can explore, create and grow.
- Assist with classroom routines, activities, transitions and daily care.
- Help maintain an attractive, organized and engaging learning environment.
- Work cooperatively with teachers and other team members.
- Follow all applicable childcare regulations and Early Head Start requirements.
What We're Looking For
You may be a great fit if you:
- Genuinely enjoy working with infants and toddlers.
- Are nurturing, patient, dependable and positive.
- Understand that young children learn through relationships, play and exploration.
- Have an interest in the social, emotional and developmental needs of young children.
- Work well as part of a team.
- Are willing to learn and grow as an early childhood professional.
- Have a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug screen, including THC.
- Meet the basic requirements of Ohio's child care regulatory agency.
Education Requirement: High School Diploma/GED
Location: Early Head Start classrooms throughout Clermont County
Hours: Must be available between 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
