The Role: R2i is looking for a highly driven and dynamic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Marketing team. This role will be responsible for servicing inbound/outbound sales and related inquiries with a focus on engaging and qualifying prospective clients. They will use prospecting strategies to identify and initiate the first outreach to potential clients with a goal to book meetings and fill the pipelines for the sales team. They will foster relationships, help with account growth, achieve profitability and advocate for R2i whenever possible to the client.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
• Respond, engage and qualify inbound leads and inquiries to manage marketing leads effectively
• Own pipeline generation responsibility within an account territory
• Establish, develop and grow new business relationships over the phone and email
• Execute in-depth discovery of potential new clients
• Be responsible for educating and developing prospects leading to hand-off to Sales team
• Identify new opportunities and schedule appointments for the Sales team
• Develop opportunities for the Sales team from prospecting and marketing generated leads
• Ensure successful follow through of sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in CRM application
• Aim to exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales objectives and pipeline targets
• Stay on top of trends in the digital marketing space
• Experience with telemarketing, lead development and/or cold calling
• Strong and professional communication skills – written, verbal and presentation
• Ability to learn quickly and use data effectively
• Ability to develop rapport, influence others and maintain strong working relationships
• Creative problem solver
• Experience using CRM, LinkedIn Premium, third-party contact databases and sales engagement tools strongly desired
• Understanding of the digital marketing space
