Job Title:  Real Estate Loan Servicing Specialist - Chatsworth


Overview: 

The  Real Estate Loan Servicing Specialist position is responsible for performing general servicing and accounting functions on all residential real estate loans including loans sold to investors. 


This role is responsible for:

  • Member service activities such payoffs, reconveyances, perfection of title (trailing docs), subordinations, delinquent property taxes, servicing of participation loans, payments, trailing docs and returned items. 
  • Interface with investors such as FNMA, BNY Mellon, Escrow and Title companies as needed; including any subservicing company, and/or the Accounting department to resolve any and all outstanding issues.

What You Will Do: 

  • Responsible for processing reconveyance on paid off loans.
  • Responsible for processing Participation and Remittance reports for RE Loan Pools.
  • Process draw stops on HELOCs.
  • Assume responsibility for performing general servicing and accounting functions on all residential real estate loans including loans sold to investors.
  • Assist in processing of the monthly Rate and Payment Changes, Balloon Loan notes reports both base loans.
  • Process/review required File Maintenance On Base, Episys and FICS reports and immediately communicate any findings (discrepancies) to appropriate teams for resolution.
  • Responsible for processing the bi-monthly SNC (State National) Mortgage Insurance reports timely member follow-up and in obtaining proper proof of insurance to cure insurance impairments.
  • Responsible for completing research on incoming member dispute or complaints, as well as incoming subpoena requests for documents.
  • Monthly, order notes from BNY Mellon and DMI on paid off loan/ payoff loan requests and prepare/process required reconveyance.
  • Monitor timely receipt of all trailing docs and ensuring that these documents are uploaded to loan origination system.
  • Responsible for processing incoming payoffs
  • Responsible for processing Unapplied/Undisbursed reports
  • Prepare required weekly reports and submit reports to Management within the designated timeframe.
  • Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of the Real Estate Department.
  • Assist Collections department in Processing of Real Estate Loan Modifications.
  • Assist in processing of all incoming Demand and Payoff requests.
  • Assist in processing all incoming Subordination requests for PACU.
  • Assist with loan delivery to FNMA as needed.
  • Assist in quarterly validation of parties (title and escrow companies).
  • Assist in reconciling department general ledgers.
  • Assist in processing yearly IRS 1098 reports.
  • Serve as back up in the processing of purchase advises from FNMA as loans are purchased.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Premier America Team Members.
  • Responsible for processing Successor In Interest requests.
  • Assist in processing and payment of the Department monthly invoices.
  • Responsible for processing of the HELOC maturity letters.
  • Update FNMA P&I Remittance reports and send daily drafts to FNMA.
  • Responsible for processing and balancing of Daily Payment file and FNMA LARs.


Requirements

 

What We Are Looking For: 

  • A minimum of two (2) years of similar or related experience. 
  • A high school degree or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of Mortgage Loan Origination system, Fannie Mae system and regulations, and CORE System. 
  • Ability to use a personal computer and related software applications including Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Knowledge of Mortgage Loan Processing, Basic Accounting, regulations, credit union products, operations, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills. 
  • Strong Interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure.

Pay Grade Info: 

The base pay range for this position is:  $24-$29/hour.
