The Lead Slot Technician is responsible for the installation, service, adjustment, troubleshooting, conversion, and repair of slot machines and related gaming equipment in compliance with Colorado Gaming rules and regulations and established departmental procedures.

The Lead Slot Technician provides technical direction, training, and support to Slot Technicians and serves as the primary technical resource for the Slot Department. The position assists the Slot Director with the proper operation, maintenance, security, and documentation of slot equipment and related technical activities.

The Lead Slot Technician is expected to maintain effective working relationships with Slot Department team members and other casino personnel and to provide professional customer assistance when technical issues affect the gaming floor.

Requirements

     

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

1. Three (3) years of recent and related experience as a Slot Technician and working on the gaming floor, preferably in a casino environment.

2. Demonstrated computer knowledge and the ability to use computer-based systems and applications associated with slot operations.

3. Demonstrated experience with slot machine conversions and installations.

4. Working knowledge of slot machine systems, components, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.

5. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems, prioritize work, and make sound decisions in a time-sensitive environment.

6. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with Slot Department personnel and other casino departments.

7. Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance and training to other employees.

8. Knowledge or experience with slot management systems is preferred.

9. IT, computer networking, or related technical experience is preferred. 


  

SUPERVISORY AND LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Coordinates and prioritizes the daily technical activities of Slot Technicians and ensures they have the appropriate materials, tools, and information needed to complete assigned tasks.

2. Assists the Slot Director in establishing and maintaining technical procedures and standards.

3. Reviews Slot Technician technical work and provides guidance when troubleshooting, repairs, installations, or other technical issues require additional experience or knowledge. 

4. Communicates equipment problems, technical and operational concerns, staffing levels, and other relevant information to the Slot Director.

5. Promotes a positive and professional working relationship among Slot Department team members.

6. Provides backup assistance to the Lead Slot Attendant and Slot Director when requested or when they are unavailable, within the scope of the Lead Slot Technician’s knowledge, training, and authority.


  

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

1. Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license.

2. Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Support Gaming License.

3. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
