Step behind the scenes of one of the nation’s premier Western art exhibits and experience the magic of pulling off large-scale events that combine fine art, culture, and community impact. As a Coors Western Art intern, you’ll be part of a small, dynamic team producing unforgettable experiences—from gallery openings with hundreds of guests to immersive receptions for a new generation of collectors. 

Whether you’re an art enthusiast, an aspiring event planner, a social media creative, or simply someone eager to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this internship will give you skills, connections, and experiences you can take anywhere. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Create and schedule engaging content for Instagram and Facebook 
• Keep our website fresh by uploading artwork, artist bios, and event info. 
• Learn the ins and outs of our Gallery Management System, point-of-sale tools, and payment processing. 
• Assist with art installation/deinstallation, shipping logistics, and making artwork labels. 
• Work closely with artists during drop-off and pick-up days. 
• Help plan and execute two of Denver’s most anticipated art events: 
• Red Carpet Reception – A high-energy, 1,000-guest evening where collectors bid on exceptional works of contemporary Western art. 
• Young Guns Reception – A lively night of art, music, and interactive experiences for emerging collectors. 
• Pitch in on everything from seating charts to event set-up/breakdown to gallery monitoring during the Stock Show.

Schedule & Commitment:

Interns will need to be available 2-3 days per week in November and 3-4 days per week in December through the beginning of Stock Show (January 9, 2026). Some remote work may be permitted. Required late nights are December 17, 2026, and January 6-7, 2027. Required workdays are December 15-19, 2026, and January 4-8, 2027. Time spent in the Western Art Department before Stock Show will be largely event planning and execution, social media, and administrative. During January 9-25th, interns will be expected to help with gallery staffing, assisting with checkout, promotion and marketing, and other daily duties. Interns are welcome and encouraged to work with other service departments if they are interested in areas besides Western art (this must be approved through that department before the start of Stock Show). Ideally, the candidate will be able to work at least 1-2 days the week after Stock Show, January 25-29, 2027, but this is not required if there are school commitments. Specific work dates and times will be coordinated with selected individuals.
