Join the Executive Office team for an excellent opportunity for students to learn a variety of professional skills and network with industry professionals. Executive Office Interns will help manage VIP Rodeo guests and attend several high-profile events such as the Stock Show Opening Parade, President’s Reception, Mayor City Council Dinner, and Red Meat Club Dinner. Students interested in this internship should be flexible, reliable, possess strong customer service skills, and be able to maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times. Willingness to jump into a variety of tasks and work well with others in a fast-paced environment also essential for success in this role.
Tasks include:
- Coordinating opening/closing, refreshments, signage, and checking in guests of the International Room.
- Assisting Reception – greeting visitors, answering questions, and distributing membership orders upon request.
- Facilitating guests on the hitch during the rodeo.
- Attending and supporting award presentations (coronation of Miss Rodeo Colorado, Red Meat Club, etc.).
- Assisting with ticketing for the CEO section above the bucking chutes.
- Various office tasks including mail distribution, data entry, photocopying, printing items, and office runner.
- Flexible mindset to jump in and help wherever and however is needed, including assisting other departments upon request.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, efficient, friendly, and detail-oriented. This candidate should have strong customer service and problem-solving skills and must be able to maintain a calm, professional demeanor under pressure. Applicants must have a solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Most importantly, this individual must be able to have fun and keep an upbeat attitude even under pressure! Candidates studying business administration, event planning, project management, or communication would be ideal.
Schedule & Commitment
- Full-time availability required January 4 – January 24
(extended hours, early mornings, and late evenings) - Expect 1-2 virtual meetings in November or December for orientation
