Supervisor: Hannah Stater, Senior Manager of Donor Development

The Donor Development department is seeking candidates to assist with day-to-day tasks, social media, on-site event support, and planning during the annual National Western Stock Show. Applicants should be excellent with time management, outgoing and friendly, detail-oriented, and proficient with Microsoft Office. Must have strong written and communication skills, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude. Stock Show experience is preferred but not required. Some duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Replenish donor materials at various points throughout the grounds each day.
  • Be present and engaging with existing and prospective donors at events throughout the grounds, providing information on donor opportunities.
  • Make small transactions on the spot using iPads and mobile payment terminals.
  • Track sales and any new gifts/pledges; create reports as needed.
  • Provide confirmation emails to guests and visitors.
  • Greet guests and provide directions.
  • Prepare guest lists and event materials.
  • Upload new constituents and attributes to the database.
  • Send follow-up communications via email.
  • Fold inserts and stuff packets.
  • Manage social media channels including Instagram and Facebook.
  • Provide support and help with special event coordination and execution.
Requirements

Candidates must have strong administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate an interest in business marketing & how businesses align themselves with an event such as Stock Show. Strong problem-solving and time management skills, being a self-starter, and familiarity with Microsoft computer applications are essential in this position.


Schedule & Commitment

  • Full-time availability required January 4 – January 24 (extended hours, early mornings, and late evenings)
