We are looking for a dependable and highly organized Corporate Legal Assistant to support our legal department, safety department, and executive team. This role is a great fit for someone who takes pride in keeping important work moving, managing multiple priorities with care, organizing critical documents and follow-up items, and contributing in a meaningful way to matters that affect the company’s legal, safety, and business operations.


Based in our Salt Lake City office, this position supports the Vice President & General Counsel position and works closely with teams across the company. You will help the legal function stay organized, responsive, and prepared by coordinating information, tracking deadlines, supporting communication, and helping move important projects from start to finish. The legal department works on contracts, litigation, employment matters, corporate records, board meetings and materials, and other business needs. In this role, you will help bring order and consistency to a fast-moving workload by keeping matters organized, tracking open items, preparing materials, supporting day-to-day legal work, and assisting with special projects as needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the legal department by organizing files, assisting with document preservation, tracking key matters and initiatives, and helping ensure deadlines, follow-up items, and supporting materials are not missed.
  • Prepare, proofread, format, and organize contracts, reports, correspondence, and other business documents.
  • Help manage calendars, meetings, deadlines, reminders, and follow-up items across multiple matters so the legal team can stay prepared, responsive, and focused on priorities.
  • Maintain legal, corporate, safety, and compliance records.
  • Draft and edit professional emails, summaries, and internal communications.
  • Assist with research and special projects assigned by the General Counsel.
  • Work with internal teams and outside contacts to gather information, coordinate next steps, resolve open questions, and keep projects moving in an organized and timely manner.


Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a legal assistant, executive assistant, or similar high level administrative support role, preferably in a legal office.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and CoPilot.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, sound follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, documents, and requests without losing attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and good judgment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with contracts, litigation, corporate records, or compliance documents.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw, Co-Counsel, Practical Law Connect and AI legal tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
