We’re looking for a dependable, safety-focused Class A CDL Driver who is comfortable navigating mountain routes, city deliveries and varying distances throughout Colorado and surrounding states.

What You'll Do

Our drivers make inside deliveries to independent pet retailers while representing PFX on the road and at every customer stop.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Safely operating a tractor-trailer within assigned routes in a timely, efficient and legal manner
  • Making inside deliveries of pet food and supplies to independent retailers
  • Providing exceptional customer service and building positive relationships with customers
  • Safely loading, unloading and moving product using liftgates and pallet/hand jacks
  • Manually handling product and safely bending, lifting and moving up to 40 lbs.
  • Entering and exiting the truck frequently throughout the shift
  • Completing required paperwork and maintaining records in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Following all DOT regulations and PFX safety procedures

The Routes

This is a great opportunity for a driver who enjoys variety and mountain driving. Routes can vary significantly in both distance and destination.

You can expect:

  • Delivery territory covering Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and New Mexico
  • Routes ranging from approximately 50 to 1,000+ miles
  • Approximately 6–30 stops, depending on the assigned route
  • 2–3 overnight trips, depending on route and business needs
  • Typical shifts of approximately 10 hours
  • Start times generally between 4:00 AM and 7:30 AM
  • A combination of mountain driving and city routes

Because routes vary, drivers should be comfortable with both shorter local/regional deliveries and longer-distance runs.


Equipment

You'll operate:

  • Freightliner Cascadia
  • Manual transmission
  • Day cab
  • Liftgate-equipped equipment

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Valid DOT Medical Certificate
  • Mountain driving experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating Class A/CDL equipment preferred
  • Liftgate experience preferred
  • Comfortable operating a manual transmission
  • Ability to safely and independently bend, lift and move up to 40 lbs.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to safety
  • Ability to work early morning starts and occasional overnight routes
  • Must successfully complete required pre-employment testing, including physical/drug testing, MVR and background checks
