We are currently hiring CNC Operator I, II, and III team members to join our St. Louis manufacturing operation.


What You'll Do

As a CNC Operator, you will play a critical role in manufacturing custom components that meet customer specifications, quality standards, and delivery expectations.

You will operate CNC machining equipment, perform quality inspections, maintain equipment, and contribute to a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machining centers and other fabrication equipment to manufacture custom parts.
  • Load, secure, and position materials for machining operations.
  • Follow work orders, blueprints, setup instructions, and customer requirements.
  • Perform machining operations including milling, drilling, threading, facing, and profiling.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Complete production documentation and work order paperwork accurately.
  • Utilize measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify part quality.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Support cross-training initiatives and learn additional manufacturing processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and workflow efficiency.
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Assist with training and supporting fellow team members as experience levels grow.

CNC Operator Career Levels

CNC Operator I

Ideal for individuals beginning their machining career or building upon vocational training and manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Vocational, technical, apprenticeship, or job-related machining training preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn CNC machine operation, quality inspection techniques, and production processes.

CNC Operator II

For experienced operators who can work independently and contribute to process efficiency and quality performance.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of CNC machining or related manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and work instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of machine setups, tooling, and quality requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently produce quality parts.

CNC Operator III

For highly skilled operators who bring extensive machining knowledge and help develop others on the team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of machining operations, tooling, quality standards, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to support process improvements and mentor less experienced operators.
  • Strong understanding of production workflows and operational excellence.

Work Environment

This position works primarily in a manufacturing environment that is:

  • Not climate controlled
  • Subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations
  • Exposed to machine noise and manufacturing activity
  • Subject to dust, fumes, and airborne particles
  • Requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular:

  • Standing and walking throughout the shift
