Program Lead
Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

  • We are looking for energetic, outgoing individuals who can fulfill the overall ministry of Grace Adventures and implement the mission of summer camps and guest groups by helping to plan, prepare, implement, and lead all aspects of the summer camp schedule.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and support all members of the summer staff team in delivering safe, fun, and excellent summer camp programming.
  • Plan and lead skits, silly songs, icebreaker games, camp activities, etc…
  • Build relationships with staff and campers
  • Gather, transport, and set up activity supplies
  • Equip support staff to assist with and/or lead planned activities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a vital, growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Stay physically fit to be able to minister
  • Oversee, encourage, and provide feedback and accountability to other staff as part of the Summer Leadership Team
  • Complete staff training and follow all staff expectations
  • Become familiar with campus staff, facilities, and grounds
  • Attend all staff meetings
  • Obey and enforce all camp rules and policies
  • Implement camp, guest group, and Community Worship programs with excellence
  • Run activity sites according to company procedures, including, but not limited to: Target Sports, Waterfront, High Adventure, Outdoor Activities, Teambuilding, and Group Games
  • Assist with housekeeping: cleaning showers, bathrooms, and buildings to meet standards of excellence
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor(s)

POSITION TYPE: Seasonal

HOUSING: Provided throughout contract dates

MEALS: Provided throughout contract dates whenever campers or guests are being served

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Love for kids and adults and the ability to communicate with them
  • Good health and stamina as required to implement a summer camp program. This will involve long hours and lifting at times. Ability to work in various weather climates and conditions.
  • Willing and teachable attitude
  • Fun, outgoing personality
  • Experience with camp programming
  • Team-based mindset
  • Lifeguard Certification (not required, training provided)
  • Minimum age 18 years old (21 or older preferred)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License (preferred, but not required)
