Mountain Valley of Cascadia is looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our award-winning team in Kellogg, Idaho.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting
• Provide exceptional resident care
• Monitor resident conditions and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Advocate for residents and promote their health, safety, dignity, and quality of life

Lead & Support Your Team

• Supervise, guide, and mentor nursing staff
• Serve as a clinical resource and leader for your team
• Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment
• Help ensure safe, consistent, and effective resident care

Communicate & Document

• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation
• Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Complete required assessments, physician orders, progress notes, flowsheets, consents, and other clinical documentation
• Ensure changes in resident condition are communicated and addressed appropriately

Manage Medications & Treatments

• Safely administer and document medications and treatments
• Monitor residents for effectiveness, side effects, and adverse reactions
• Maintain accurate narcotic records
• Coordinate medication orders and complete physician order reviews
• Initiate therapies and treatments as ordered

Respond to Clinical & Emergency Needs

• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in resident condition
• Provide appropriate nursing interventions and emergency care
• Perform CPR and respond to emergencies when necessary

Maintain High Standards of Care

• Follow facility policies, clinical procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
• Maintain reliable attendance, punctuality, and professionalism

What You Bring

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Strong clinical judgment and nursing skills
• Knowledge of HIPAA and resident confidentiality
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A genuine passion for caring for older adults and making a difference in their lives

Requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited RN program (BSN preferred)

Licensure & Certification

• Current RN license in the state of employment
• Valid CPR certification

Experience

• Minimum of six (6) months experience in long-term care preferred
