Description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Processes, monitors, and validates coin and currency transactions.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Processes, monitors, and validates coin and currency amounts in the vault according to company standards and regulations.
  • Maintains an accurate record of all cash exchanges.
  • Counts money and balances the vault.
  • Receives, places, and fulfills orders from the Federal Reserve Bank and internal units to maintain required levels of cash.
  • Fills orders for currency and coins; counts and records cash deposits in vault commercial bank: Counts currency, coins, and checks received for deposit in vault from business or branch bank.
  • Any other duties that may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of both the department and organization.
Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of teller-training program.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills and thorough knowledge of all teller functions.


WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a sitting position. The work environment is typically located indoors but may have infrequent occasion to work outdoors.
  • The employee is frequently required to operate a computer, printer, telephone, and/or other office equipment.
  • The employee frequently exchanges information with others and must be able to do so in an effective manner. Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and across a variety of audiences.
  • The employee may frequently mov or lift items up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally the employee will need to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel items, reach with hands and arms for items in high or low places, and must have the ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl.
  • The typical schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Employees must be flexible to work after-hours, weekends, and on-call, when necessary.
Salary Description
$13.00 - $14.00 per Hour
