Description
Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for delivering our message to business owners and key decision makers with the goal of securing qualified appointments for our Outside Sales team. This role focuses on outbound calling within our Ideal Client Profile (ICP), gathering essential information, and building meaningful first connections. In addition, the ISR manages and grows our prospect database to ensure accurate follow-up and a strong pipeline. This position is critical to generating a steady flow of qualified leads and serves as the first step in bringing new customers into the organization.
Role and Responsibilities
- Make 80–100 outbound calls daily to identify, engage, and qualify potential customers.
- Gather prospect information through phone outreach, LinkedIn, and online research to support qualification.
- Schedule a minimum of three qualified appointments per week with business owners or decision makers.
- Build and nurture relationships by setting follow-up calls and maintaining consistent outreach.
- Promptly contact and qualify leads generated through marketing activities, website chats, and inbound calls.
- Manage and categorize prospects in the database to ensure accurate ownership, qualification status, and timely follow-up.
- Enter new contacts and businesses from internal sources, acquired lists, and marketing efforts into the database.
- Document all activities, interactions, and follow-up steps in the CRM and maintain accurate CRM data.
- Update the Inside Sales Playbook daily with total activities performed.
- Attend weekly sales meetings and report on progress and pipeline activity.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the inside sales process and continuously refine calling best practices through workshops and ongoing learning.
- Create email templates and follow-up communications for prospects.
- Document internal processes and procedures related to assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Strong phone skills with the ability to creatively reach prospects, identify decision makers, and handle objections professionally.
- High energy, strong conversational ability, and a positive, engaging communication style.
- Persistent in reaching decision makers and uncovering key information about prospects.
- Skilled in preparing clear, effective written communications and materials.
- Strong interpersonal abilities, including active listening, customer care, and confident telephony skills.
- Ability to redirect conversations, think quickly, and adapt to changing situations during calls.
- Proficient typing skills to ensure fast and accurate data entry.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to consistently follow the inside sales process.
- 1-3 years of sales experience recommended
- Bachelors Degree
