Job Summary:
As a member of a world class claims team, you will be accountable for investigating and resolving large loss complexity homeowner property claims in multiple state jurisdictions. This work is accomplished in a manner that supports superior customer service and overall accuracy with appropriate “urgency” at all times. Superior verbal and written communication skills are required to communicate as needed throughout the claims process. Must have strong organizational skills and be able to work independently with minimal to moderate management involvement.
Candidates must be able to work Pacific Time business hours.
Duties and Responsibilities :
• Adjust major and complex losses in their entirety but may also adjust standard/moderate complexity losses at times
• Complete thorough and proper claim investigations
• Be able to present on file information and investigation status to Senior Leadership during Round Table file discussions (10%)
• Accurately document all investigative activity and secure appropriate claim documentation within our claims and document management systems. (40%)
• Develop and maintain file summaries and action plans from the point of assignment and throughout the life of the claim. (10%)
• Ability to submit complex authority requests and manage file expenses. (20%)
• Handle incoming calls real time whenever possible and return all messages in a timely manner.
(20%)
• Responsible for compliance with state insurance regulations and company Claims Handling Guidelines, and any and all other duties assigned by manager.
The Ideal Candidate will have the following:
- Prior large loss to moderate complexity insurance claims experience required
- Prior customer service work experience required
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to make timely and accurate decisions
- Ability to work independently with minimal management oversight
- Strong negotiation skills
- Comfortable working in a highly productive team oriented environment
- Maintain an active adjusters license in states where required
- College degree and/or bilingual in Spanish a plus
Location Requirement: This position is fully remote and is open to candidates located outside of California. Candidates must reside and work outside of California.

Essential Physical Functions: Sitting for extended periods, walking short distances, operating keyboard and mouse and talking on the phone.

Competitive Compensation – Salaries will be established commensurate with experience. This is a non-exempt hourly position.
