Description

Las Vegas, NV | Vehicle acquisition | Auto buyer | Used vehicle | Pre-owned | Appraisal | Inventory sourcing | Auction | Trade-in | Multi-store | Shared services | Automotive buying experience required | Veterans encouraged to apply | $65,000 - $75,000/yr

IS THIS YOU?

• You're an experienced automotive buyer or appraiser who reads the market accurately, values vehicles with confidence, and understands what makes a unit retail-ready versus a pass

• You think in terms of inventory strategy -- you're not just buying cars, you're maintaining a constant, quality flow of retail-ready units that store teams can move quickly and profitably

• You're ready to own a centralized acquisition function for a 40+ rooftop dealer group where your market instincts, your sourcing relationships, and your discipline directly determine the quality and consistency of pre-owned inventory across the network

WHO WE ARE

Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars. We believe the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences. That's why we've grown to 40+ rooftops across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii while maintaining a culture built on one simple idea: do right by people, every time.

Our Shared Services team in Las Vegas centrally supports vehicle acquisition for Swickard's full store network. The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist is the person who keeps that pipeline moving -- sourcing, evaluating, and securing retail-ready pre-owned inventory that gives store teams what they need to serve guests and hit their pre-owned targets. This is a high-impact, data-driven role for an automotive buyer who understands market conditions, knows how to source quality units across multiple channels, and takes ownership of the inventory pipeline from acquisition through delivery.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Source and acquire retail-ready pre-owned inventory for Swickard stores across multiple markets -- through auctions, trade-in appraisals, private party purchases, and dealer-to-dealer transactions

• Evaluate vehicles accurately and efficiently -- assessing condition, market value, reconditioning cost, and retail potential to make sound acquisition decisions at pace

• Monitor market conditions across Swickard's operating regions -- tracking auction lanes, retail pricing trends, and inventory demand signals to buy the right vehicles at the right price

• Partner with store-level GMs, GSMs, and used vehicle managers to understand inventory needs, gaps, and market preferences by location -- sourcing to the specific demand of each store, not a one-size-fits-all profile

• Manage acquisition volume and pacing to maintain a consistent flow of retail-ready inventory -- preventing gaps that leave stores under-stocked and avoiding overbuying that creates aged inventory risk

• Track acquisition activity, spend, and inventory performance -- reporting results to leadership and adjusting sourcing strategy based on turn rates and gross performance

• Build and maintain sourcing relationships -- auction representatives, independent dealers, fleet accounts, and other wholesale channels that provide consistent access to quality inventory

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Automotive buying, appraisal, or used vehicle management experience -- required. Candidates with auction buying, wholesale, or multi-store acquisition experience are strongly preferred

• Strong vehicle valuation fundamentals -- accurate, confident assessment of condition, market value, and reconditioning cost with a track record of sound acquisition decisions

• Market awareness -- you follow auction trends, retail pricing data, and regional demand signals and use that information to buy smarter, not just faster

• Inventory strategy mindset -- you think about pipeline flow, turn rates, and store-level demand, not just individual vehicle transactions

• Proficiency with valuation tools -- Manheim Market Report, Black Book, Galves, or equivalent -- and familiarity with auction platforms and DMS systems

• Clear communicator who works effectively with store-level leadership across multiple locations and time zones

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

WHAT WE OFFER

$65,000 - $75,000/yr

• Medical, dental, and vision insurance

• Life insurance and supplemental coverage options

• Paid time off and paid holidays

• A centralized role with network-wide impact -- the inventory you source flows to 40+ stores and directly supports pre-owned performance across the organization

• Career growth within a high-growth dealer group with an expanding multi-state footprint and an active acquisition pipeline

• Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts

WHY SWICKARD AUTO GROUP -- SHARED SERVICES

• Centralized acquisition at scale -- sourcing for 40+ rooftops across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii means real volume, diverse market exposure, and a buying role with genuine strategic weight

• A function where your market instincts and sourcing discipline have direct, measurable impact -- the stores that have the right inventory at the right cost perform, and the Acquisition Specialist is the person who makes that happen

• A Las Vegas-based Shared Services team working alongside legal, HR, finance, ecommerce, and operations leadership -- a professional, collaborative environment with visibility across the full organization

• Swickard is one of the fastest-growing dealer groups in the country -- ranked Top 5 in North America for reputation in the automotive industry

• Our HEART values -- Honor, Engage, Anticipate, Respond, Thank -- shape how we source, how we partner with our stores, and how we take care of the guests those vehicles ultimately serve

If you're an experienced automotive buyer with the market knowledge, the valuation discipline, and the inventory strategy mindset to keep a 40+ rooftop dealer group stocked with retail-ready pre-owned units -- we'd like to meet you.
