Description

The Journeyman Software Developer—Systems Software/O&M will support the Department of State (DOS) with the development, maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancement, and sustainment of enterprise applications and systems. The position will apply working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Microsoft Power Platform, .NET technologies, application integration, and SQL Server to support system operations and address user and stakeholder requirements. The Journeyman Software Developer will collaborate with technical teams, government stakeholders, and business users to resolve application issues, implement system enhancements, support production environments, and participate in Agile/Scrum development activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise solutions within Dynamics 365 CRM and the Microsoft Power Platform. 
  • Configure custom entities, forms, views, business rules, workflows, and CRM security models. 
  • Develop CRM plug-ins, JavaScript web resources, and custom business logic using C#, JavaScript, and the Dynamics CRM SDK. 
  • Build and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate workflows to support business process automation. 
  • Develop and enhance custom applications using .NET, ASP.NET, Web API, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and related technologies. 
  • Integrate Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform solutions with external systems using REST APIs, OData, JSON, XML, and web services. 
  • Support SQL Server database development, including stored procedures, views, triggers, data queries, and reporting support. 
  • Support automated notifications, workflow processes, and system-triggered business logic. 
  • Support data migration, application modernization, and enterprise application enhancement activities. 
  • Troubleshoot application issues, support production systems, and implement enhancements based on user and stakeholder needs. 
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, and status updates. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, document technical solutions, and deliver high-quality software.


Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years, 5 years preferred of software development experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience developing and supporting Dynamics 365 CRM solutions
  • Experience with Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Strong Development experience with C#, JavaScript, .NET, ASP.NET, Web API, or similar Microsoft technologies
  • Experience developing CRM plugins, JavaScript web resources, custom entities, forms, views, workflows, and security roles
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications using REST APIs, OData, JSON, XML, and related integration models
  • Strong SQL Server experience, including database development, stored procedures, views, triggers, and reporting queries
  • Experience supporting enterprise application modernization or enhancement initiatives
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and federal clients


Salary Description
$125,000 - $135,000
