Description

Organize, promote, and coordinate the execution of over 300 musters worldwide. Work with Muster chairs to plan Muster details, promote their Muster by creating invitations and sending out mass emails, and pull specific Roll Calls. You will also work with Muster Speakers to access resources and correspond with the families of Aggies who passed away to help them determine at which Musters their loved ones will be called.


DUTIES

Essential Functions:

  • Must be comfortable speaking with former students, Muster Chairs and Club President’s on the phone and over email.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, friendly, and reliable to perform data entry, create invoices, copy, file, and fax Muster-related documents
  • Deliver quality customer service by giving an immediate response to phone, mail, and email inquiries.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all volunteers, families of Aggies who passed away, visitors, and Association employees.
  • Help send out emails and other club program correspondence as needed.

Participates and provides input on various Association-wide activities which may include:

  • Actively contributing to efforts to achieve donor growth goal.
  • Providing on-site event support for Board and Leadership Council Meetings.
  • Participation on internal event and task committees.
  • Participation in Association events including, but not limited to, All-Aggie Grad Party, Ring Delivery, Reunions, Distinguished Alumni Gala and Game Day events, as needed.
  • Represents The Association as needed at events.

Acts as an ambassador for The Association by meeting Team Expectations; supporting The Association’s fundraising, branding, and communications efforts; and fostering relationships with former students, current students, parents, faculty, staff and friends of Texas A&M. Occasional other duties as assigned.


Requirements

EDUCATION

Required: Current student at Texas A&M University.

Preferred: 15-20 hours of work per week (20 hours required in spring semester).


EXPERIENCE

Required: None.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Required: Must have strong interpersonal and writing skills. A friendly, customer-focused attitude. Organized and detail-oriented.

Preferred: Have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and InDesign.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Required: Must be able to operate a keyboard, telephone, and computer. Frequent use of a computer monitor is required. Ability to perform occasional merge/mail tasks with envelopes and mailing labels required.
