Summary/Objective(s)

The Copywriter is responsible for creating and optimizing all text throughout the enterprise including blogs, product descriptions, social media, and development of brand voice through about us pages and working closely with the email strategist and designer to drive more sales from emails. The Copywriter will work closely with the digital advertising team, ninjas, SEO specialists, email team, and graphic designers to track metrics, assist with wording in ads, develop higher ranking pages, and create eye catching graphics that correlate with text content.

Essential Functions

• Creating engaging blogs for both entertainment and sales focuses
• Develop product descriptions with SEO focus without impacting blog workflow
• Track blog metrics daily and make changes to react to poor performance
• Use SEO keywords independently
• Point out spelling or grammar errors when found anywhere within the enterprise
• Take on content campaigns
• Know the voice of division to create the appropriate content for their audience
• Adhere to any E.E. or third party standards
• Assist with any copy from division(s) at any given time
• Hit weekly content goals while maintaining high quality of content
• Develop copy for emails with the email team
• Write YouTube scripts and work alongside personality to improve quality of content

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 9:00AM - 5:00PM CST and weekends.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

1 year of content creation or creative writing experience

1 year of sales experience (preferred)

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in English
• Solid understanding of the automotive industry
• Basic understanding of advertising and marketing
• Proficient in Google Suite/Microsoft Office

Requirements

• Be able to prioritize tasks as you receive them
• Be able to meet your content target every week
• Fill out content orders for blog graphics
• Track blog metrics daily and know how to manage them
• Complete content orders to correspond with ad campaigns
• Work well independently as well as with your team and other departments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite
• Knowledge of the automotive industry
• Basic understanding of advertising and marketing techniques
• Extremely creative and willing to go outside of your comfort zone
• Expert written and verbal skills including proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Utilize social media to boost blog awareness
• Complete most blogs in under 4 hours
