Assist our Information Technology team by providing hardware and software support for the organization. Cover basic helpdesk duties as well as increasing levels (as appropriate) of network and server support/installation.
DUTIES
Participates and provides input on various Association-wide activities which may include:
Act as an ambassador for The Association by meeting Team Expectations; supporting The Association’s fundraising, branding, and communications efforts; and fostering relationships with former students, current students, parents, faculty, staff and friends of Texas A&M. Occasional other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Required: Current student at Texas A&M University or Blinn. Must have more than one semester remaining before graduation
Preferred: Student majoring in computer-related field
EXPERIENCE
Required: Requires experience with PC (Windows XP and 7) and/or network troubleshooting.
Preferred: Network/security theory, Microsoft Office, Mac OSX, Exchange/Outlook, any Adobe product, Active Directory, Oracle, mySQL, Windows Server OSes, SuSE Linux.
SKILLS
Required: Must have strong writing skills, along with friendly, customer-focused attitude and be organized and detail-oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Preferred: Programming skills a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Required: Ability to operate a keyboard. Frequent use of a computer monitor is required.
