The Marketing and Creative Services team at The Association of Former Students provides graphic support to departmental staff, programs, campus beneficiaries and affiliate organizations. This individual will assist the Director of Marketing, Coordinator of Marketing and Part-Time Graphic Designer in performing print and digital graphic design and pre-press operations, with the potential for some photography work.
Candidates should have prior experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs (i.e., InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator). The ideal candidate must be an organized multitasker able to handle a wide variety of tasks and projects at once, while meeting tight deadlines.
Essential Functions: As part of the graphics team, partners with internal and external customers of The Association of Former Students including staff, former students, Texas A&M representatives, and current students.
Participates and provides input on various Association-wide activities which may include:
Serves as an ambassador for The Association by meeting Team Expectations; supporting The Association’s fundraising, branding, and communications efforts; and fostering relationships with former students, current students, parents, faculty, staff and friends of Texas A&M. Occasional other duties as assigned.

Required: Current student at Texas A&M University pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
Preferred: Current student at Texas A&M University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Required: Proficient knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat).
Preferred: Knowledge of PDF files and pre-press requirements.
Required: Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and organizational skills. Must have the ability to successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to effectively communicate with students, former students, Association employees, and Association leadership in a professional manner.
Preferred: Understanding of photography principles. Ability to take professional photographs a plus.
Required: Ability to operate a keyboard. Frequent use of a computer. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Required: Ability to interact with a diverse population.
Preferred: Ability to work in the position for 2+ years (based on amount of training involved). Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
