Our Hospitality Team at Hardywood is passionate about beer and determined to create a unique experience for our customers through the service of high quality and innovative beers.  As a part of the Hospitality Team a team member will be involved in set-up and breakdown of events while providing excellent customer service to our guests during our hours of operation and beer release events for extended periods of time. 

The ideal candidate for a Beer Ambassador is someone with a genuine passion for craft beer.  Good communication and customer service skills are critical. The candidate should be detail oriented, organized, hardworking, and comfortable working in a team atmosphere and in serving large groups of people on any given day. Patience, a positive attitude and willingness to update product knowledge base are musts.  


Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Checking proper forms of ID of all guests that look to be 30 years of age or younger and applying wristbands when necessary.
  • Inventory control, restocking of beer and managing merchandise area
  • Tactfully identifying intoxicated guests and assisting with safe rides home (friends, family, cab rides) Must communicate with Hardywood management team when dealing with uncooperative guests.
  • Providing guided tours to customers when needed
  • Table service of prepared food and beer
  • Assist coworkers and management with waste clean up/removal and stocking of event supplies.
  • Part-time hours include working evenings, weekends, and possibly private events.
  • Comfortable working in both Hardywood locations
  • Ideal candidate will have Certified Beer Server Certification from www.cicerone.org
  • Willingness to assist our kitchen team as needed at both our Ownby and Westcreek facilities.
Requirements

To be eligible for this position you must meet the requirements below:

  • Prior beer knowledge and customer service/sales experience
  • Prior service experience in a restaurant or food establishment
  • Delivery of prepared food and beer tables
  • Comfortable working within a POS system
  • Ability to multi-task and work in an organized fashion
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift 60 lb. repeatedly, and move and place 160 lb. kegs
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Required attendance for certain holidays and beer releases. Can provide dates upon application/interview
