Commercial Foreman

Commercial Foreman is responsible to produce projects on time and within budget.  Manage and monitor workload and crews.  Communicate professionally and accurately on project progress and crew.  Maintain watertight projects daily.  Provide excellent quality results for our customers.


Commercial Foreman Basic Purpose and Function:

• Produce projects on time and within budget   

• Monitor and direct productivity of crew

• Manage workload and Preplan equipment, supplies

• Set priorities, goals and timelines for projects

• Communicate professionally and accurately about the project

• Maintain Water Tight roof every day

• Excellence in detail and clean roof

• Proficient problem solver 

• Field measurements as needed

Commercial Foreman Duties of the position included:

• Trains and develop apprentice in the trade of Commercial Roofing

• Produce quality work on an ongoing basis

• Manage paper work weekly 

• Attend Foreman meeting weekly

• Professional customer service at all times

• Follow all Standard operating Procedures (SOP)

Commercial Foreman Skills and Experience:

• Ability to past pre-hire physical and pre-hire drug screen

• Minimum experience as a journeyman roofer for a period of 2 years 

• Understand all Major Roofing Manufacturer’s warranted details  

• Current OHSA 10 hour / Man lift / Fort lift / First Aid Certifications 

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software 

• Valid Driver’s License with no restriction

Commercial Foreman Compensation:

• Wage $25-40 negotiated DOE

• Performance and compensation review on an annual basis

Responsible for following all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as written.


Ability to be professional, friendly, courteous, tactful and maintain composure in dealing with customers and co-workers.  Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.  Must be fluent in English.  Ability to listen, follow instructions and learn new tasks.  

Requires working knowledge of multiple roofing systems that may be used in application and repairs.

Requires self-motivation and ability to prioritize.  Must be task-oriented and dependable.  Needs strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.  Requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills.  Team oriented with ability to excel in a team environment.

Must have working knowledge of windows-based computer systems and have the ability to learn construction-based software as required by the job.  

Mental alertness is required to ensure accurate completion of work activities.  Requires knowledge of basic math.  Ability to follow company policies and procedures, OSHA, and applicable State and Federal laws.

Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.  Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination required. Ability to reach, lift and maneuver supplies and ladders up to 80 lbs.
