EVENT STAFF

The Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center is looking for irregular part time event staff to work on-site at the CCCC & Municipal Auditorium. 


Positions include:

• Ticket Taker

• Ushers

• Event / Guest Services

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:  

• Providing excellent guest service

• Greeting patrons

• Confirm / scan tickets upon arrival

• Assist patrons to locate their seat location

• Assist in resolving ticketing issues

• Maintain a fun, friendly and safe environment for guests

• Respond in a positive supportive manner to guest complaints, questions, informational requests and comments

• Assist in sanitization efforts during / between events

• Be knowledgeable about the facility to deliver accurate directional information to patrons

• Enforce the rules and regulations of the building (i.e. no smoking, mask wearing, social distancing)

Skills and abilities:

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Strong customer service skills

• Good verbal and interpersonal skills

• Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic

• Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays

• Ability to interact with all levels of staff

• Must have a valid email address


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  This position will require regular stair climbing, walking, and standing to access all seating areas. Position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. This position may be exposed to high noise levels (ear protection provided when needed), variable temperatures (often cold) and confined spaces.


Requirements

This is a great opportunity for energetic and outgoing individuals to work in a fun environment and supplement current income with an irregular schedule as many events take place in the evenings or outside of regular business hours.

  • Must be neat in appearance, have good communication skills and be a team player.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
