SUMMARY This position is an integral part of the Development Team and is responsible for gift receipting and reporting, database and software management, office logistics coordination and assisting with special events. The person filling this position must be a self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision, work well under pressure, meet multiple deadlines, pay strong attention to detail, and maintain strict confidentiality. The person in this position is expected to demonstrate cooperative behavior towards colleagues, donors, volunteers, guests, and supervisors. Confidentiality is essential for this position. Regular in-person attendance is required.

The employee is this position will be available to be cross-trained into other areas of the ministry as needs arise.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format with accurate grammar and spelling. Ability to effectively present information to donors, volunteers and staff members.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to quickly learn other computer programs and software.
