We are currently seeking a full-time enthusiastic 2nd or 3rd Shift Digital Supervisor to work on-site in our Des Moines, IA location.
This position is responsible for the overall coordination and production processes of the Digital department and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Directs incoming work to employees. Examines all materials produced by employees for quality defects. Ensures that work is completed in a timely manner and in compliance with work order. Trains new employees in proper procedures and operation of machines. Cross-trains experienced employees to promote familiarity with and skill in operating various types of equipment. This position is also responsible for operating Digital Press machines, efficient set-up procedures, stocking machines, troubleshooting, and performing routine maintenance on equipment.
Preferred Education and Experience
Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods and frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs. Continuous vision for quality control. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. to move palletized load. Frequent reaching, twisting, and gripping up to 25 lbs. to move paper stock. Occasional crouching and use of hand tools during routine machine maintenance.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday. 1st shift is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; 2nd shift is 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; 3rd shift is 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Weekend hours may be required during peak production times. This position typically works 40-50 hours per week.
