Look no further… Sheehan Phinney is for you! We are hiring an Entry Level Legal Assistant primarily based from our Manchester, NH location (see * below). This role provides backup administrative coverage supporting attorneys. Coverage may be short-term for just the day or for longer periods of time. Responsibilities include typing documents (including document preparation and revisions), processing new matter reports and engagement letters, scheduling and coordinating appointments, meetings, pleadings, correspondence, answering telephones, preparing expense reports and processing mail. Additional tasks include: Copying, scanning and filing various client documents, which may include court and agency filings (including e-filing), keeping client/attorney information confidential, file management and reception coverage along with other tasks as assigned.
*Travel – Provides occasional support at other Sheehan locations including Concord, NH, Portsmouth, NH and Boston, MA (no overnights). Reliable transportation is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Associate degree or equivalent with 1-2 years of administrative experience in a professional office environment. One year of experience as a legal assistant with knowledge of agency, state and federal court filing requirements and e-filing, preferred. EOE
Full-time Monday through Friday with some flexibility to occasionally come in early or stay late.
