Lead Web Developer - Full Time
Description


The Lead Web Developer oversees all web properties at Harvest. Doing so by, maintaining, auditing, and updating Harvest web properties. This role has a minimum requirement of 7 years of professional experience. He/She will also oversee all Harvest integrations. Ensuring Ecommerce, CRM, Shipping, etc. are all working properly. The Lead Web Developer will work with junior developers in delegating tasks and oversight of projects. He/She will advise on all Harvest technologies aligning Harvest’s long-term goals. The Lead Web Developer must work proactively with other staff to accomplish ministry goals on time, communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing), be highly organized, and able to prioritize multiple competing projects in a prompt and professional manner. This role will report directly to the Marketing Supervisor. He/She serves with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes Harvest’s mission, culture, and values. 



Requirements

 

  • Ensure Word Press is up to date on all Harvest properties. Monthly oversight of plug-ins, maintaining all plug-ins up to date.
  • Monitor security in Cloudflare, Stripe, API servers, etc.
  • Confer with management and development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria, and recommend solutions.
  • Create and maintain redirects using Word Press Engine, Word Press admin, or Cloudflare
  • Build out custom integration using Zapier, Hubspot, Woo Commerce plugins, or NodeJS API server
  • Ensure all customers are in the proper funnels when making a donation or a subscription is renewed.
  • Evaluate code to ensure that it is valid, properly structured, meets industry standards, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
  • Conduct load tests on the website before major outreach events.
  • Maintain an understanding of current web technologies or programming practices through continuing education, reading, or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups.
  • Build out feature requested from different stakeholders. Determine best environment/tool to use, work with Design and Marketing, and build out workflows and webhooks.
  • Maintain development environments for other developers, build out new development environments, assist junior developers, and review the code of junior developers.
  • Ensure all Harvest web technologies align with the best interest of Harvest and meet the long-term goals of the organization.
