Description

We are looking for professional, positive, and energetic baristas who are passionate about food and beverage preparation. The barista will greet customers, answer their questions, take orders and accept payments, and prepare and serve food and drinks. S/he will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays, and continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation.

Successful candidates will have previous service industry experience with strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization. We expect our baristas to provide high-end customer service and always engage guests and fellow team members with a positive attitude.

  • Welcome customers, inform them about specials or new items, answer questions, and accept orders and payments.
  • Prepare foods, such as sandwiches or baked goods, and grind and blend coffee beans, brew coffee and tea, and serve it to customers.
  • Package food and beverages for sale.
  • Sell coffee and tea blends, highlighting the differences between items, and educating customers about brewing methods.
  • Clean and restock work and dining areas, empty trash, and sanitize equipment and utensils.
  • Learn about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality.
  • Update signage and displays to attract customers.
  • Take inventory and replenish items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter.
  • Work as part of a fun, high-energy team.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Food Handler Health Card.
  • Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service.
  • Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills.
  • Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
  • Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A polite, engaging personality.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.
