Cafe Barista - Part Time
Description


The barista will be responsible for serving customers and making high-quality beverages. The barista will also be responsible for maintaining a clean workspace. The barista will be responsible for maintaining all state and local guidelines concerning food safety. They serve with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes Harvest’s culture, values, and mission.


Requirements
  • Ensure that customers are satisfied with their drink orders.
  • Brew coffee and tea, and fill containers with requested beverages.
  • Maintain established standards for customer service.
  • Restock kitchen supplies, rotate food, and stamp the time and date on food in coolers.
  • Monitor beverage preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation are executed in an acceptable manner.
  • Maintain beverage and equipment inventories, and keep inventory records.
  • Take orders from customers according to requests.
  • Coordinate assignments to ensure beverages are prepared in an economical and prompt manner.
  • Accept payments, and make changes or write charge slips as necessary.
  • Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes, to keep equipment and facilities sanitary.
  • Replenish serving stations.
  • Clean brewing preparation equipment, work areas, and counters or tables to keep equipment and facilities sanitary.
  • Physical requirements with or without accommodation include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently, repetitive hand and foot motions, prolonged standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, squatting, and reaching.
