Office Coordinator DME
Description

Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the center through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion. Provides diagnostic testing to the patient to help optimize the total care given to the patient.

  • Excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database products.
  • Must be highly motivated and willing to assume additional jobs and duties as needed.
  • Must be able to handle stress of working efficiently with frequent interruptions and distractions.
  • Hours must be flexible to accommodate for needs of patients other unscheduled events.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and adhere to strict deadlines.
Requirements
  • Previous DME office experience required
  • Knowledge for use of computer equipment
  • Able to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Able to verbally communicate with patients, families, and physicians.
  • Knowledgeable in center policies and procedures
  • Familiar with department filing systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge in using proper equipment to complete assigned duties.
  • Performs daily billing for procedures given by the department in an accurate nd timely manner
  • Schedules applicable procedures/diagnostic tests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Documentation is concise, accurate, and legible.
  • Maintains and achieves departmental medical records and other documentation in an orderly manner for quick access as required.
  • Compiles, types, organizes, files, archives and distributes interpreted reports and departmental reports in an expedient and organized manner.
  • Maintains a courteous and professional manner in dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, and manger.
  • Assists in departmental scheduling, ordering, retrieval and returning of equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

  • Adheres to attendance and punctuality requirements per hospital policy. Provides proper notification for absences and tardiness. Takes corrective action to prevent recurring absences or tardiness.
  • Observes dress code policy and wears hospital identifications as required by our policies and procedures.
