Fleet Manager
Description

Yellow Cab is looking for someone like you!  We're looking for full-time Fleet Manager to work Monday through Friday (occasional Saturday).  This is a 1st shift position.    


Responsibilities include: 

• Supervises cab mechanics and service personnel in Louisville

• Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to driver’s description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules.

• Verify vehicle issues, parts required and acceptable time frame for repairs.

• Responsible for tracking materials, supplies, and shop labor.

• Prepares work orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required.

• Maintains division rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle to division managers

• Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.

• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications, arranging training for mechanics on new vehicles.

• Enhances vehicle repair flow by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

• Monitors vendors to insure the company is receiving the best possible service and pricing.

• Acts as administer for vehicle fleet monitoring software.

• Schedules repairs with mechanics

• Monitors all vehicles for damage and cleanliness buy doing pre-issue and return inspections.

• Maintains a safe, clean working environment in the maintenance shop.

• Oversee inventory. 

Qualification Requirements:

• Minimum of two years supervisory experience

• Experience in parts/fleet management a plus

• Auto/truck mechanic experience preferred

• Clean MVR

• High school diploma

• ASE certification a plus
