Findorff has an opening for a MEP Project Engineer in our Madison office. As the MEP Project Engineer you will provide assistance to the MEP Group Lead, Project Manager and Project Superintendent in conducting coordination functions related to bidding, pre-construction, construction, and post construction activities of projects as it relates to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
Qualified candidates will have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, excellent follow through and follow-up, be perceptive and highly organized; detail oriented, thorough, conscientious, tenacious and professional. Must be a self-starter and able assist multiple projects at one time, while maintaining accurate knowledge of systems, schedules and needs for each project.
Proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Suite and databases. Blue print and construction document reading. Contract interpretation. Ability to solve problems based upon information available, personal and/or professional experience and background, and related engineering applications. Must possess general cost awareness for MEP systems and understand systems. Prefer LEED accreditation and awareness of LEED requirements.
Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. 2-4 years project management experience including previous internship experience working with a MEP design firm or general contractor preferred.
