Toyon is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to join a team supporting multiple programs and design teams. This position requires an intermediate level background in Finite Element Analysis, including model development, efficient use of boundary conditions, and interpreting results. Experience with material behavior and structural failure modes is desired. Hands-on experience with fabrication oversight, planning, and execution of structural testing is desired.
The ideal Structural Analyst will have the following experience, skills, and growth path ambitions:
•B.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (M.S. preferred) with emphasis on evaluation of complex load paths, mechanical design, and structural analysis.
•Experience with models using contact and nonlinear material response
•Experience with thermal, thermostructural, or shock/vibration analysis
•Experience with buckling and structural instability analysis
•Experience building and debugging models with multiple components and subassemblies
•Experience with one or more of the following software tools: Abaqus, Ansys, Dyna, or HyperWorks
U.S. Citizenship Required. Ability to qualify for a US Department of Defense security clearance required.
