Production Supervisor 3 X 12 Weekend Shift (Fri, Sat, Sun)

This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient planning, coordinating, and managing the daily activities of the production team to ensure that food products are manufactured safely according to production, food safety, and food quality goals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Planning, scheduling and supervising of production activities
Executing the weekly production plan
Ensure that all products are produced on time, and within quality, cost and quantity specifications.
Monitor equipment and labor efficiencies and drive improvements
Monitor product yields and material usage variances.
Assisting with the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives in the areas of cost, throughput, and quality.
Supporting the introduction of new products to the site, including participation in design and safety reviews, development of SOP’s, training materials, and monitoring initial scale-up.
Providing strong safety leadership and production floor presence, actively promoting safe behaviors and employee engagement. Coach direct reports in safety leadership to ensure alignment with safety as a core value.

Required skills and specifications:
2-5 years Management Experience
5 years food manufacturing leadership experience and working knowledge of SOP, FDA, HACCP, and GMP policy and procedures.
Demonstrated managerial skills that develop and inspire others.
Strong math and computer skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Result driven and self-starter.
Demonstrated change management skills
Exceptional organizational skills balancing immediate and long-term priorities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to grasp complex concepts easily
Excellent planning, organizational and motivational skills.
Experience working in a Union environment is preferred.
