We are looking for a Product Support/Test Engineer in Stuttgart, Germany.


Position Overview

Work with EUCOM Theater customers to ensure that solutions developed by Knowledge Management are integrated and effectively supporting the senior military decision-making cycle.  Functions as subject matter expert and provides sustainment support for implemented solutions.  Works with teams to convert manual test cases into automated scripts that can be used as templates for the DevOps teams in their effort to establish and grow their automation coverage. Works closely with military and civilian staff across the HQ EUCOM staff to identify bugs or process gaps in current both SharePoint implemented and custom developed products. 


List of Duties

• Develop automated test scripts for software products

• Become an expert on the software products developed onsite, continuously evaluate existing products and establish customer relationships with key users / stakeholders of existing products in each EUCOM Directorate

• Build an ongoing understanding of customer needs and issue trends to help resolve future issues and improve processes

• Develop and deliver regular briefings to senior leadership regarding current state of O&M products

• Develop metrics to assess product health and usage

• Perform daily quality assurance checks for essential site functions

• Perform quality assurance testing and troubleshoot technical issues prior to product releases

• Work with customers during Product Rollout to ensure adequate awareness of the product and facilitate command training, to include developing and implementing user training during rollout support

• Identify break fix requirements and key functional gaps in current products

• May be required to sign for equipment

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Master’s Degree plus 2 years relevant experience, OR

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years relevant experience, OR

• Associate’s Degree plus 7 years relevant experience


Desired Specialized Education and Experience

• Knowledge of ASP .NET, C#, and a database querying language (SQL)

• Knowledge and/or experience working with Combatant Commands or Military networks

• Advanced knowledge of the fundamental concepts of data communications and data processing hardware and software

• Experience developing test scripts using an automated testing suite such as Rational or Selenium


Skills and Qualifications

• SECURITY CLEARANCE:  TOP SECRET/SCI Eligible; SECRET (minimum)

• IAT Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8570 (Security+ CE or CISSP)

• Excellent communication, collaboration and documentation skills, able to work in an open work environment

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Quality Engineering or testing environment or demonstration of equivalent experience

• Demonstrated background working in a DoD environment briefing to high level customers

• Experience working with customers in a sustainment environment, identifying O&M requirements

• Experienced in the full Agile software development life cycle

• Must be able to pass TESA requirements


Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Programming experience with Client-side development models

• Certified Microsoft Professional
