You are a skilled and experienced Web Developer needed by ZingSoft (zingsoft.com) to maintain and improve its product websites. ZingChart (zingchart.com) and ZingGrid (zinggrid.com) are data visualization and storytelling tools oriented towards web developers and designers, product managers, technical marketers, business analysts, and data scientists. Your role creates compelling web content, demos, and documentation in service of these customers, and assists with their support requests via chat and email.

You are responsible for two product websites, so your role requires strong front end development skills. While framework experience is nice, a foundation in semantic, standards-compliant HTML, artful CSS, and dependency-free JS is necessary. As a front end developer, you also have a keen design eye and the ability to mock up and slice up design comprehensives (Illustrator/Figma/Sketch) into HTML/CSS. Concern for accessibility, interaction design, and good user experience are built into your design and development process.

Interest in data visualization is important in your role. You enjoy both the design and implementation of thoughtful dataviz, and you have opinions and critiques of dataviz examples in popular media. Your role consistently produces compelling and timely website and dataviz content using ZingChart and ZingGrid, so you grow to know these tools well.

Supporting customers is an important part of your role. You communicate and troubleshoot customer issues via chat and email, and that feedback increases your knowledge of the products. The consistent feedback loop keeps you aware of customer needs and grows you into a ZingSoft SME, capable of effective and efficient response and escalation. You manage these support requests through standard communication tools: email, Intercom, public-facing repos, StackOverflow, etc.

• Professional web development experience is nice but passion for web dev is essential
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript are hard requirements
• Team experience in a git-based workflow is important
• Design background is nice-to-have
• Data Visualization interest is essential (portfolio or demos encouraged)

• Applicable BA/BS is preferred (or equivalent, additional professional experience)
• Some JS framework familiarity is nice-to-have
