ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Operate turf fertilization equipment 

· Operate turf aeration and seeding equipment

· Operate debris loader equipment for leaf removal

· Operate mulch trailer for spring clean ups

· Assist with lighting and irrigation inspections

· Assist in watering annuals and new landscape installs

· Identify enhance opportunities on existing client properties

· Support the organization’s mission, goals, and core values

Requirements

 Knowledge and Experience:

· Preferred experience is 1 – 3 years in the green industry with a record of turf applications and best horticultural practices· Minimum experience is a candidate who is passionate about the outdoors, comfortable driving a truck and trailer, operating small equipment, is attentive to detail, and wants to learn. · Candidate must work well independently and with a team. · Strong organizational and communication skills are a must. 



Certifications (Either currently possess or the ability to obtain through Southern Landscape Group):

  • First Aid and CPR
  • Certified to apply pesticides
  • A valid driver’s license with insurable driving record is required

Working Conditions:

The majority of the time (greater than 80%) will be spent in an outdoor environment, with limited ability to control noise, airborne contaminants, and temperature. The employee is expected to work the assigned hours at Southern Landscape Group from Monday through Friday, Saturdays as needed. The work hours of this position may be long when extended schedules are necessary. This is an hourly position with a normally expected work week of 45+/- hours, but the person in this position is expected to work those hours needed to successfully satisfy the responsibilities and duties of the position.
