About the Job.
Tovala is looking for an experienced Director of Communications who brings passion, strategic thinking, and scrappiness to lead the brand’s communication and PR efforts.
Sitting on the brand marketing team and reporting to the VP of Brand Marketing, the newly-created Director role will develop and execute Tovala’s communications and media strategy to drive the brand’s purpose-led brand narrative. With a specific focus on raising the profile of the brand, the Director will help build a consistent and compelling narrative of Tovala through both consumer and corporate storytelling.
This position requires a self-motivated, flexible individual that is interested in elevating our brand image through both creating high-level strategy and diving into execution. For example, at any given time, you might be developing our earned media strategy, pitching national consumer press, or activating a brand-driven partnership.
This role will provide leadership to a small team who will help drive the day-to-day execution of the communication plan across PR, influencer, social and community. You will also frequently interface directly with customers and partners as we seek to tell their stories.
