Description

SCHEDULE: 25 hours/week        $9.00/hour         


GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: To serve a quality meal to clients of Mobile Meals, Inc.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Reading comprehension for following directions, record-keeping and reporting.
  2. Capable of utilizing basic math and record-keeping in daily reporting.
  3. Maintain all records accurately, counting, reporting, meal ordering andweekly bank deposits, submitting same weekly and monthly to main office.
  4. Heat, portion control and serve meals according to sanitation procedures.
  5. Follow all sanitation and safety rules for handling food (i.e., food samples,
  6. temperatures, safe serve, dining areas and maintenance of equipment.
  7. Portion and pack home-delivered meals as approved by the agency.
  8. Maintain and order inventory of supplies and equipment.
  9. Attend required scheduled training/meetings, on and off the worksite.
  10. Respond to food concerns discreetly and report same to supervisor.
  11. Ability to foster a cooperative and accountable work environment.
  12. Maintain a neat and orderly work area.

Requirements


QUALIFICATIONS: 

  1. Reading comprehension skills.
  2. Basic math skills
  3. Previous basic record-keeping experience and capable of performing same.
  4. Ability to follow instructions.
  5. Verbal communication skills.
  6. Neat and clean appearance.
  7. Basic computer skills.
  8. Ability to provide own transportation, a valid Ohio Driver’s License and insurance as required to operate a motor vehicle in the state of Ohio. 
  9. Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation) if applicable.


MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: High School equivalency preferred. Must have or willing to take and pass a Safe Serve Level 2 certification.


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:  Experience working in food service preferred.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift, bend, twist, carry and transfer pan of food up to 30 pounds.  Ability to bend over sinks for intermittend periods of time to was pans and do general cleanup.
