Description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Responsible for completion of daily scheduled task/ production per department. (Cutting, Routing, Polishing, General Labor)


Job Description

 Employees on this shift earn $2 more per hour in shift differential (total wages starting from $18 and up depending on experience). No experience is necessary! It’s beneficial to have common knowledge of polishing and quality control, but we will provide all necessary training for you to become a successful Polisher.  

 

This job requires 100% standing and moving while at work.

Qualifications

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening, physical, and background check.
  • Direct industry experience is beneficial.  Other construction related experience and vocational training is a plus.  Basic construction skills and ability to read a tape measure a must.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials in excess of 150 lbs.
  • Ability to interact with customers and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner, and work as a team.
  • Work extended hours as needed to complete projects.

Requirements

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Proficiently use a standard tape measure to the 1/16th


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations with management or other employees of the organization.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months’ related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position will require the following physical activities on a regular basis, Reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and handling. The maximum amount of weight required to be lifted will be less than 100 pounds. There are no special vision requirements.


WORK ENVIRONMENT 

Indoors in a non-temperature-controlled environment. The typical noise level for this job is loud to very loud. Area requires proper safety attire, steel toe boots, protective eyewear, and hearing protection.
