Quality Control Lead

  • Understands Company’s quality policy, principles of Food Safety and Good Manufacturing (GMP’s) and sanitation policies;
  • Works with facility team in overseeing successful arrival and distribution of product;
  • Ensures warehouse is properly rotated;
  • Monitors products on hand for proper care and handling;
  • Investigates condition issues;
  • Checks returns from deliveries to determine quality and redistributing of product;
  • Knowledgeable ripening processes used for avocados, bananas etc.
  • Communicates rework and spoilage with Purchasing;
  • Works closely with purchasing and receiving departments and communicates all findings to team members;
  • Responsible for employee scheduling, monitors overtime and adjusts missed punches;
  • Responsible for keeping all books up to date on a daily basis;
  • Responsible for enforcing food security, food safety practices and food safety government regulations (SQF, HACCP, CGMPs)
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned;



  • Knowledge of product quality and inspections;
  • Total product knowledge;
  • Performs visual and measurement testing;
  • Ongoing training of employees in the facets of product quality and conditioning;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy and problem solving;


  • Previous experience in quality control
