What You’ll Do

  • As Senior Vice President, you will bring strong leadership that will be accountable for growth and success and engagement consistent with Flying Phase’s Standards of Delivery and Firm Strategy
  • Lead Flying Phase Product Development and Business Development meetings as well as the enterprise asset repository (a set of materials that represent things of value that can be provided to clients and prospective clients)
  • Identify opportunities at existing clients for additional support from Flying Phase and make offers that will help them succeed
  • Leverage your existing network to develop and nurture long-term relationships with potential strategic partners as well as prospective clients, understanding their challenges and offering solutions that Flying Phase can provide to help them and their organizations be successful
  • Responsible for monitoring engagement health and checking in weekly (or bi-weekly depending on customer preference) with our day-to-day customers
  • Flying Phase’s representative to client sponsors, responsible for regular meetings to ensure that we are exceeding their expectations; offering to immediately address any concerns raised by the client sponsor (and closing the loop with them after successfully doing so)
  • Act as a sounding board for the team members, working with Flying Phase Leadership when additional personnel are needed, removing obstacles to success, and monitoring/managing the budget
  • Work closely with your Engagement Team to ensure that execution of all commitments is occurring and that they are fulfilling on all of their responsibilities
  • Get to know all team members including their strengths, business passions, and personal objectives
  • Attract, hire, and maintain the team members necessary to enable successful growth of the organization
  • Leverage experience and knowledge to provide guidance regarding problem framework, challenging assumptions, and ensuring that grounded, thoughtful solutions are offered
  • Coach team members on how to structure communications, including presentations to senior clients, leading those communications efforts when necessary
  • Prioritize the work of team members, leveraging all necessary inputs including client requests, stakeholder needs, Flying Phase-based value assessments, team member capacity, and individual interests

Preferred Experience and Background

  • You have twenty or more years’ professional experience in consulting/ product development and at least 10 years or more in a successful leadership role
  • Must have experience with Product Development, especially with any product start-ups and/or building a company brand (previous experience with start-ups and growing/scaling small businesses is preferred)
  • Big Data and Machine Learning experience is also highly desirable
  • You have significant experience presenting to and influencing senior executives within Banking/Financial Services/Fintech 
  • You have directly managed organizations of at least 20 people and performed leadership roles with indirect influence across 100+ person organizations
  • You have experience in driving tangible business value through a team of performers
  • You have developed problem frameworks, hypotheses, conducted test and analysis that resulted in solutions to key business problems
  • You have experience implementing new strategies including defining the scope of operational feasibility, supporting implementation efforts and developing valuable monitoring plans
  • You are experienced in leading project delivery and communicating effectively to a wide audience
  • You are self-directed, accountable, creative and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client facing environment with a limited travel component
  • You have a passion for growing the firm and developing the team
  • You have earned a minimum of a Bachelors’ degree or have equivalent work experience
