Coordinator of Former Student Programs - Club Programs I
Description

Scope:  Provides oversight and support to engage former students and increase participation of the Aggie Network in local communities through communication and programming.


Essential Functions:  Promotes and maintains regular communications to former students through various A&M Club and Association Programs to extend the reach and impact of the Aggie Network.

  • Coordinates and assists the Club Programs Office and manages budget and travel.
  • Gathers Data from Club and holds them accountable.
  • Builds relationships with Aggies through extensive travel to A&M Clubs.
  • Collaborates with A&M Clubs to increase membership and support of both the Clubs and The Association of Former Students.
  • Communicates news of relevant Association events to A&M Clubs.
  • Speaks on behalf of The Association at A&M Club, Board, and officers meetings.
  • Coordinates and assists in the planning of Musters worldwide, coordinates and executes Headquarters, Away Game Yell Practice and tailgates with local A&M clubs for football away games and bowl games.
  • Manages away game sponsorship program.
  • Serves as a staff liaison to the Young Alumni Advisory Council.

Contributes to Former Student Programs events and activities which may include:

  • Assists in coordinating the Coach's Night Tour program in conjunction with The Association’s Events Team, the 12th Man Foundation and the Athletic Department.
  • Provides on-site support for other Former Student Programs events.  

Participates and provides input on various Association-wide activities which may include:    

  • Actively contributing to efforts to achieve donor growth goal of 100K by 2020.
  • Providing on-site event support for Board and Leadership Council Meetings.
  • Participation on internal event and task committees.
  • Participation in Association events including, but not limited to, TNT, Ring Delivery, Reunions, Distinguished Alumni Gala and Game Day events, as needed.  
  • Represents The Association as needed at events.

Acts as an ambassador for The Association by meeting Team Expectations; supporting The Association’s fundraising, branding, and communications efforts; and fostering relationships with former students, current students, parents, faculty, staff and friends of Texas A&M.  Occasional other duties as assigned.  

Requirements

EDUCATION

Required:            Bachelor’s Degree.

Preferred:           Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M University. 


EXPERIENCE

Required:            One - Two years of professional experience including supervisory experience.

Preferred:           Three - Five years of professional experience including supervisory experience.  Volunteer management.         
                     

SKILLS

Required:            Working knowledge of standard office equipment. Word processing and computer skills.Ability to work with diverse population.  Effective oral and written communication skills, including public speaking.  Ability to organize concurrent projects and manage time. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Required:          Ability to operate a computer.  Ability to drive a vehicle, travel frequently and work nights and weekends.

 

EQUIPMENT

Required:            Working knowledge of standard office equipment.


OTHER

Required:            Ability to work with diverse population.  Effective oral and written communication skills, including public speaking.  Ability to organize concurrent projects and manage time.  State of Texas class “C” vehicle operator’s license. Comfortable with hauling a trailer.

Preferred:           Experience with and working knowledge of hauling a trailer.
