Job Title: Tax Intern
Reports to: Program Manager
Job Status: Seasonal Internship, Hourly, Full-time
Start/End Date: December 13, 2021 to April 15, 2022
Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour
Primary Location: Tax Site
Through tax assistance, advocacy, small business technical assistance and partnerships, Accounting Aid Society is focused on creating an economy that works for everyone. Accounting Aid seeks a self-starter who is as invested in economic mobility and poverty alleviation as we are. We’re using taxes to build relationships, and relationships to build futures-including yours.
The Tax Preparer has the opportunity to not only prepare taxes, but to educate clients on the process. Primary responsibilities include screening clients, preparing tax returns, promoting asset building/financial service products, and directing clients to other service partners.
You will be provided tax training and education. You must be able to pass both a tax training and certification test provided by Accounting Aid Society.
You must be able to work 6 days a week, including Saturday. Availability required for this position is: Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm; understanding that you will work 8 hours per day. Saturday hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
