Develop and refine internal control guidelines, policies and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration and other activities.
Partner with the CFO to coordinate and direct budgeting, procurement, investment activities and financial planning, as well as financial reporting and risk analysis.
Establish and maintain financial controls with the accounting department. Manage the team for monthly financial closing.
Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures in compliance with federal regulatory requirements.
Provide support to management, particularly in commercial and financial matters.
Create reports that help senior leadership understand company financials.
Maintain responsibility for the company general ledger as well as monthly balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
Lead the audit effort, assisting the preparation of all audit/review schedules and review of the books and records with an outside audit team.
Ensure that media payments to vendors are reviewed, verified, and approved.
Identify and implement technologies and processes to improve efficiency and timeliness of financial management and reporting.
Protects corporate assets through sound accounting policies and procedures which include provision for insurance coverage, as required, and protection of business assets and loss prevention through internal control and internal auditing.
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field, with CPA.
Proven work experience in accounting or a related field, having worked in advertising or marketing services environment.
Understanding of financial data analysis and reporting with strong skillset to deveop/build upon best practices to effectively lead a vast virtual team.
Experience with NetSuite, OpenAir and Paylocity
Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions, with proven abilities to maintain a high level of accuracy across the team.
Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills. Advanced computer skills, specifically in Excel.
Must be able to communicate financial information into sound business language so people of all levels can understand.
